Yesterday I met a lady (D) who works at the senior center. She has been working there for 25 years. Yes this is a paid position yet she puts in many hours and much energy over and above the required time. Besides this work she cares for an 84 year old lady who knew her parents and who owns and managed for years a restaurant and bar in the area. This owner worked hard all her life but because of situations put all her money into the bar and restaurant. Now she receives $500/month on SS.
D now takes care of the lady - buying her food, cooking for her, and running the business. D also takes on the cost of it all. She has devoted her life to this woman who she describes as a lovely lady who gave to all.
One of the resoinsibilities is "SERVICE." Service to others, to strangers, to family, to the earth, to the critters, to friends to anyone who needs help. By giving this service the Kundalini will respond. I am very grateful for D who gives over and above the norm in all facets of her life. She is a good example of the service that can be given and from a Kundalini standpoint must be given. D is a lesson for me and others in how to serve those around us unselfishly and with love.
